I was so happy to find these shoes in purple, my favorite color! Birkenstocks are funny looking, but so comfortable. These were a great find for the colder months ahead.

I fell in love with Birkenstocks, but can not wear them all of the time, so I decided to try the arch supports for my boots and shoes that don't have support in them. They are made like Birkenstocks, the same shape etc. They don't seem to work for me, but I think it may be my foot! One foot feels great, but the other is uncomfortable. It seems as though the support is in the wrong place under my foot. I think if they fit both of my feet they would be wonderful in my boots. It is definitely worth trying if you like Birks!

Bought these to help relieve plantar fasciitis in both feet, could not be more pleased. Within a week they've broken in and feel like they were custom-made for my fallen arches. Perfect shoe for wearing around the house and I've taken to wearing them everywhere else, too. They do run large, best to go down a size. I wear a mens 11 and went with the size 43, which fits perfectly. As always Zappos comes through with fast & helpful service.

These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I was a little worried about fit because of my wide feet but they fit perfectly. I will definitely be buying another pair from Zappos.

Wonderful quality in a comfortable sandal. The three straps makes it easier to keep on and adjustable straps are better for my very wide, high arch feet. Sizing could be a problem; I usually wear a 7, but the 36 (5-5.5) fits best.

The first Birkenstock I ever owned was an Arizona that I bought because I was desperate. My feet are flat, very flexible and wide, and every year it was getting more and more difficult to walk, which I love to do. When I bought them I didn't know how they would break in and the fit took some getting used to, but after a while I began to notice that not just my feet but my back, knee and hip improved which, believe me, is huge. Since then I've bought a couple more styles for work and I certainly will buy more. They do look funky, which originally gave me pause, but I have since decided that funky and feeling good is excellent, and maybe even beautiful.

I have been buying Birkenstocks for years and am so pleased to now be buying them from Zappos. The shoes are great, but I have come to expect that from Birkenstock. I purchased these for a middle school child. She keeps talking about how soft they are to wear. She has had this style in the past, but not the soft footbed. She is a huge fan. Her orthopedic doc was so pleased to see her in supportive shoes, not flip flops.

These are the third pair of Birkenstocks I\'ve bought over the years and I\'m glad I was able to choose the style in narrow. I love them, they are so comfortable and the colour is great. I can see myself living in them over our New Zealand summer (I was lucky enough to have them sent to my brother\'s address in the States for relatives to bring back for me!). I ordered these a few weeks ago. They were delivered quickly and free! Since I had the Arizona style, I wanted a closed toe style for the winter. I found the Rosemead style and liked the look better then the regular clog. I have worn them just about every day since they arrived. The only time I haven't worn them has been on really rainy days (don't want to mess up the suede). I love my Birks and my feet do, too!

The Birkenstock Madrid is true to size for Birkenstocks. Very stylish and cute for summer, goes well with shorts, capris and dresses/skirts. For the most part, they are comfortable, but because they are the flip-flop style, my feet tend to slide forward when I walk making them a little less comfortable than some other Birkenstock sandals I own. I still really like them though, and wear them quite a lot.

I love my Birkenstocks! I will never be without a pair of the Arizona! Super comfortable and I got some neat mismatched socks to wear with them and I am the hit wherever I go! Zappos is a terrific company to do business with! I received my shoes within 3 days of ordering. And, yes, I would order from them again in a minute!

I wanted these shoes for years and finally invested. They are great except that you really have to work with your toes to keep the darn things on your feet! At first I thought it was a size problem and that mine were too big, but I went so far as to exchange for the next size down and that wasn't it. It's just the way they fit. Very loose and the band that holds them in place across your foot is quite far forward for my foot. I even tend to trip. As long as I keep them on for short distances, I'm all set, but I couldn't wear them for walking around town at any length, which is disappointing. I love the way they look and the comfort for short distances is just fine.

Excellent shoes. Ultimately comfortable. Better yet Zappos had a great price and delivered fast. Make sure to order the right size; Birks have to be fitted with enough room to conform correctly. The Zappos fitting chart is on the mark. Thanks!

This is the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. My only concern is the leather used in this style (Sumatra). It's rather rough. I'm hoping it will soften in time, and I will order another pair when the spring colors are available.

Let me give you the low down on Birkenstocks if you never wore them. When they are new the arch is very high and may be uncomfortable for up to a month, but after the cork compresses to fit your foot you will not find a more comfortable shoe or sandal anywhere! Period. Once you own Birkenstocks you will just get them resoled and resoled. This is the first pair of Alabamas and they are great. Now I can wear my Birkenstocks all year round. If you can handle the hippie styling you cannot go wrong. Just commit to them and let them break in. Enjoy!

This was my first Zappos purchase, and I was astounded by the fast shipping. The price was much lower than the cost in my local store, and the staff there told me they couldn't even order this particular shoe in my size! The shoes are perfect. I love the dainty straps instead of the usually-bulky straps of traditional Birkenstocks. I would definitely recommend Zappos. In fact, I already have!

The "Boston Suede" Birks are excellent. There is no breaking in time; they felt wonderful the first time I put them on. I wear a size 8 shoe, but ordered these in a size 38. Perfect fit. Actually, I can wear a thin sock with them or go without. I think these will be perfect for winter, spring and fall. Summer I will go back to the sandal. I developed plantar fasciitis this past summer so the support is exactly what I need and my foot is already feeling better. Zappos processed and delivered my order quickly. Great service. Thank you.
