  • Wabasha Boat Shoe by Red Wing ShoesPosted: Jul 23, 2009Reviewer: Dylan from Laguna BeachOverall: 5 StarsComfort: 5 StarsLook: 5 Stars
Amazing fit, materials and style. Definitely an upgrade for someone looking for a boat shoe. Great for chilling without socks. Great craftsmanship makes you feel like you own something special. Made in USA is always rad too.
  • Casual Ballet (Infant) by Ralph Lauren Layette KidsPosted: Jul 10, 2009Reviewer: Eileen from New York, NYOverall: 4 StarsComfort: 3 StarsLook: 5 Stars
Adorable baby shoes - These baby shoes are adorable! I bought them for my daughter's first birthday since they were a nice match with her dress. Since she can practically walk, it was difficult for her to wear these since they are not made for walkers and also are run slightly bigger than the size states.

I have wide feet (D width) and have been searching for a type of "boat shoe" for casual wear and travel. This is it! These shoes were comfortable from the get-go and I wore them walking for hours while on a recent vacation. The brown color is a nice tone, unlike the chalky brown you sometimes see in leather. They are a bit more substantial (heavier and thicker) looking than typical boat shoes but don't make my feet look clunky. Try them!
  • School Days II (Toddler) by Keds KidsPosted: Dec 20, 2008Reviewer: Christina I from FloridaOverall: 4 StarsComfort: 5 StarsLook: 5 Stars
Timeless, classic style - My daughter & I both love these, especially since wide shoes are hard to come by. I absolutely recommend them. ONLY thing worth noting is that the shoelaces rip/break over time.
  • Athletic 2 (Infant/Toddler) by RobeezPosted: Nov 11, 2008Reviewer: AnonymousOverall: 5 StarsComfort: 5 StarsLook: 5 Stars
Wish I had invented these shoes. Nice and soft and very cool looking. Easy to get on his feet, too.

Love the shoes, great service - We found the shoes in a store out of town, but did not have my son's size. I promised we would find them online. I had a difficult time until I found them here. They had the right size and the arrived they day after I ordered them. Few things are ever that easy in life.

About Casual Shoes

Not too long ago, a shoe buyer’s option was either comfort or fashion, but never both in the same shoe. In the last few years, however, a revolution—or perhaps an evolution—of casual shoe design has occurred. Brands such as Clarks®, Ecco® and Bass®, well-known for their loafers, sandals, flats and other casual styles, have a firm commitment to design shoes with comfort, flexibility, and superb style. Rockport®, Bostonian® and Cole Haan® recognize that their customers, particularly those in the workforce, want professional, good-looking shoes that they can wear all day but have no desire to kick off once they get home.

For the casual brands, shoes are meant for enjoyment, not to suffer in. They are constantly offering new technology and better comfort options to the public. Birkenstock® expert craftsmanship creates the cork-latex footbed that molds to the shape of your foot. This long-lasting comfort is just one of the reasons it is such a sought-after shoe. MEPHISTO™ is committed to creating the finest walking shoes possible that have the highest quality and design. Brooks® Addiction and Synergy shoe styles are dedicated to giving you the walking shoes that fit your needs, whether you want shoes to take a simple stroll or do some serious speed walking through the park. Dr. Martens™, that classic casual shoe, strives to make their footwear more comfortable and more durable with every new design.

It is good to travel and we enjoy being tourists, but the problem is that we don’t want to look like tourists. The old joke is that you can tell an out-of-towner by their shoes. For many years, travelers couldn’t help it. They needed good walking shoes, and the choices tended to be comfortable but heavy and bulky. New technology has changed all that. Naturalizer® created the n5 Comfort Elements, which includes flexible insoles, featherweight outsoles, and extra cushioning. Dansko® adds shock absorption, a rocker bottom and solid arch support to all of their shoes. Merrell® is at the forefront of comfort technology with their air cushion midsoles and Q-Form® footbeds. Plus, these styles and many more now use supple leather, smooth mesh and other soft materials that look sleek and sophisticated, while still feeling exquisitely comfortable. You can now walk down those Roman streets or sit at that Parisian café and receive only admiring glances from the locals.

So whether you are a busy professional, a world traveler or just someone who needs a nice pair of walking shoes, come take a look at our casual shoes selection. You’ll walk away a very happy—and very comfortable—customer!
