Bought a teal blue pair of these at a store and then found the crocus colored pair online. My daughter loves them. She's a dress-wearing fool and her pink Keens go with all her dresses including her princess dress ups. I got them because she had to have closed-toed shoes for school - safety first! The teachers love them because she never slips on the playground or on the floors and I love that they are easy to clean.

GREAT SHOE!!! Comfortable, perfect for summer and for an active child. My son can only wear Stride Rites b/c his feet are wide, but these shoes are both wide enough and true to size, so unlikely to be returned. I bought both colors!

We tried this shoe compared to the Kamik Kids Jetty (similar style). This shoe is a little shorter in the footbed (Kamik is long, so this one may be true to size, while leaving a bit of growing room), has a little more bounce in the footbed, and the sole is a little more flexible. The toe-covering piece is also really flexible while still providing protection. It fits my son the best of several sandals we've tried--however, a heel adjustment would improve the fit.

These shoes seem like they would be very comfy, the shoe opens COMPLETELY for on and off, (and so also easy to clean) and the fabric is stretchy. They run a little long (leaving room to grow), but didn't work for us as my son has narrow, slender feet and ankles. The front piece would have had to roll just a little under the ball of his foot. A size down might fit width-wise, and this may be the experience of others whose kids have narrower feet.

Love Keens, hate their sizing. I ordered Newports for both my children (ages 6 and 2.5) in their usual size—the size on the shoe that says U.S size X. When the shoes arrived, I realized both kids needed a size larger, so I returned to the amazing Zappos for one size up. That worked fine for the 6-year-old, but the ones for the two-year-old were still too small. I sent him to school in them; he came home with blisters and won't wear these shoes anymore. He usually wears a U.S. size 9 and apparently should take an 11 in this shoe. Still, I love Keens. I just wish the sizing were more standard.

I bought these for my 3 year old son and he loves them! The design has changed/adapted a bit - they're now easier to put on, thanks to a velcro opening, as opposed to the "stretch" version last year. My son can even do it himself - a big boon as he wants to be like big brother and sister. They protect his wee little piggie toes, are durable and comfortable - right out of the box. We can't say enough "good" about these sandals!

I bought these for my 11 year daughter. She is usually very picky with regards to comfort and she likes them and finds them super comfy. I like them because she can hike, bike, boat and anything else we might do all in one shoe.

I bought these for my son. He usually needs a wide width, but these fit him great. With most shoes, he needs a pad put in because of heel pain, but not with these. He loves them; they look great and are stylish for his age. He has not complained about his feet hurting once! I've since bought him a second pair of these Merrells (in blue). Best of all, these shoes last. I think he'll outgrow them before they wear out, which is really worth the money. I highly recommend Merrell's-I bought them for him because I had a pair myself and loved them. Great choice.

These shoes are fantastic and the color is perfect. My daughter has a 5.5 in sole from heel to toe and I bought size 6 for a true fit. She loves them and asks for them, runs in them fine without scraping up her toes. The leather is soft and leaves no marks on her feet even after a whole day. She’s already been through salt water, fresh water, concrete, rocks, sand and the leather is still super soft. My selling point on these are that they are made in the USA (HOWEVER, note that not all of them are, but this pair is, check the inside of the straps). I will buy these again when she outgrows her pair.

Great summer shoe which can be worn without socks - the shoes are very soft inside and do not have any hard stitching or material overlays which would cause blisters. My daughter has a wider foot, so these fit her fine without searching for an alternative shoe which comes in a wide width. The nubuck in front and in the accents is easily cleaned with a damp cloth, but I still ordered a second pair which my daughter wears when she will not be running around outside.

The Keens Newport H2 is great! My child loves them because he can slip them on and off. He also likes the ability to adjust the fit through the strap. I like them because they have a great slip proof sole that can be worn hiking or simply around town. Additionally, the shoe is very durable. He will grow out of it before he can wear it out! I will definitely buy them again! Frankly, this is my child's third pair over the years.

Love this brand! Light weight and washable. I know they indicate that these run large, but this is the second pair I have gotten for my daughter that fit true to her measurement. This particular style seems less wide than others and the instep is not as high. I got the same style in blue for her twin brother - both kids LOVE them - super comfortable.
