All about Lacoste

History
The Lacoste company was founded in 1933 and takes its name from René Lacoste, the world renowned tennis player and sports enthusiast. René Lacoste did not like traditional shirts used for tennis and teamed up with Andre Gillier, the owner of France’s largest knitwear company, to create the knitted cotton pique shirt that has revolutionized the sportswear market.
Origin of the Crocodile
The American press nicknamed René Lacoste the “Crocodile” after he made a bet with the Captain of the French Davis Cup team. He had promised René a crocodile skin suitcase if he won a match that was important to the team. The American public stuck with this nickname which highlighted René’s tenacity on the tennis court. A friend of Renés, Robert George, drew a crocodile that was embroidered on the blazer that he wore on the court from then on out.

Good choice - I'm very happy with these shoes. I own a few pair of Lacoste shoes and this one is by far the most comfortable. Lacoste shoes are always a tad small so if you want to wear socks in them I recommend ordering half a size up.

Ugg classic cardy -
What a great boot to transition to my winter boots. I don't wear them outside much because they are not very supportive, but are great around the house and at work. Very warm. Love the indigo and grey colors. My co-workers love them too. Ordered my usual ugg size.

These shoes actually look as good as the photo - probably better because the photo is a bit too dark. I like the "bowling shoe" lace to toe look, and the perforation look on the side panels (also on the tongue) is interesting. These fit exactly to size (I got men’s size 10, medium) and have a snuggly fitted "like a glove" feel to them when on, but they are not too tight and are very, very comfortable. One thing: the Lacoste alligator and/or Lacoste name is everywhere, although discreetly. I use these as driving shoes and wear them in the office with jeans or khakis. I am very happy with these shoes overall.

Expensive for nothing - Positive: 1) Extremely fast delivery; next day! 2) Easy straps for toddler to put on and off easily. 3) Looks cute! Negative: 1) The first day my son wore the shoe, the paint in the front chipped and peeled! The shoe paint is very cheap for the price of the shoes! 2) My toddler stopped wearing them after the first day because he said they made his feet hurt! And it's not from the size because I even got him a 1/2 size bigger than what he normally wears. I personally love Lacoste name brand! My 4yr old knows nothing about it. I got him these shoes because I like Lacoste. From now on, he's picking out his own shoes!

Best tennis shoes ever. I have been playing tennis for 10 years now, and have gone through many pairs. The Repels are by far the best overall shoe I've ever worn. They wrap around your feet and have great traction and support. I highly recommend them.

The Last Word In Slip-On Sneakers?
I just received my Lacoste L33 Slip Check slip-on sneakers. They are a worthy addition to the Lacoste L33 family of athleisure shoes. Like all Lacoste offerings, they are a little spendy, but are more than worth it when you consider the quality of materials and workmanship. Previous incarnations of the L33 slip-on have always been marked by some kind of 'busyness' (huarache weaves, crocodile embossing, etc), but this shoe takes the whole concept of the slip-on plimsoll to its roots. Think of it like a deceptively simple martini: seemingly simple to make, but devilishly difficult to get right. Lacoste got it right, by understanding that less is truly more. The uppers are tumbled leather and everything about this shoe is top-drawer. If you're planning on wearing this shoe without socks, consider going 1/2 size smaller than normal; with socks, it seems a little wide in the forefoot, but perfect for length.

These shoes are super comfortable and light. They look great with jeans. I wouldn't recommend them for colder weather, since the mesh lets in a lot of outside air, but that makes them great for warm days or for being active outdoors. Great shoes. Buy all the colors.

My 3 years old son loves these shoes: he can put them on and take them of by himself. I love them too because they look great while providing great comfort. My son has chubby legs, but these shoes stay low on the ankle, so they are perfect for him.

Good purchase - I saw these advertised in a magazine and I was immediately compelled to buy them. They are so comfortable! I've never owned a pair of slip-ons before, and I definitely made the right decision to make my first pair of them from Lacoste. They are roomy without being too big, couture while still being subtle, and they look great. No arch support whatsoever.

Cute flat, way oversized. I normally wear a 9, the 7.5 was the correct length, but shoe is made very narrow. If you do not wear a narrow, don’t bother.

I love Lacoste/Zappos!
I love the look of this shoe. It’s classy, plain and simple, and looks good with everything! I wear them to school almost every day! The only thing that bothered me was the little tag in the back, which pokes at your heels and gives you blisters. It doesn’t bother me anymore though. Anyways, I love Zappos! The shoes come in so fast and with no shipping, there's no complaints! I will continue to order from Zappos from now on!

I bought this bag to use as a carry on/beach bag. I think it'll work. The size is perfect and I love the rubbery inside lining. My only concern is that the zipper on the top doesn't actually go from one end to the other – there are gaps at each end.
