I had problems with finding the right size of these boots. I'm normally a size 6. 5.5 is short for my feet, resulting in what most people call "narrow in the toe area", and it would be really really tough to break it in (if that's even possible); 6 is a bit large and slips off heel. According to most Harness boot making companies (Double-H, Harley Davidson...) the slipping off heel is normal, and it's partly caused by the toughness of the sole. It will break in over time (without hurting your feet). What I did was I bought my normal size, and put a half insole that doesn't extend into the toe area to prevent the heel slippage. I found Dr Scholl's insole at a drug store which also provides arch support works the best.

Very Odd Heel -
I usually like Rockports, however these have got to be the oddest shoes I've ever tried on. The heel of the shoe is not entirely flat. I'm really not sure how to explain it, but on the corners of the heel, the part closest to the middle of the foot, they have cut out a slight triangle and you can't walk straight. I can't imagine how anyone can walk in this shoe.

Solid results as expected -
I've always been a fan of Rockport shoes primarily for their comfort, not necessarily for their styles. However, the Windom turned out to be very stylish with a suit or jeans in addition to being very comfortable.

They didn't feel as comfortable as other Cole Haan shoes that I own. I had to return them because they felt heavy and hard on my foot. The thong was not pleasing; very rough. And the sole felt uncomfortable and stiff.

Clown Shoes -
Because of the steep front taper of this shoe Rockport wisely made them larger than their size. They fit comfortably and correctly but make your feet look at least a full size larger.

Comfortable from the first use. The width is right. The length, because of the toe design, seems longer than other shoes the same size.

Very comfortable. Not much breaking in to do. Ordered 10.5, had to exchange for 10. Great shoe. Would buy again.

Great looking shoe!
Great look and as usual, great service. Nice leather, as this shoe is more on the dresser side of casual - would do well with a suit. This is a comfortable shoe, but a more firm fit associated with a dress shoe.

My Husband Loves The Shoes -
I have never bought shoes for my husband on-line before. He wears a size 14M and it's difficult to find a dress shoe that size in a shoe store. I was hesitant to order shoes without him first seeing them and trying them on, but after reading the reviews, we decided to order them. He couldn't have been more pleased...the color and fit were perfect. We will definitely order from Zappos again.

Sharp shoes!
Great quality for the money. Look very sharp in person. Get style of much more expensive shoes for less - besides, these will be more comfortable anyways.

Very nice shoe. Good shine. Leather looks and feels very good. Instantly broke in feel. Not like the Allen Edmonds that I will be throwing away because they always flexed about like a piece of plywood.

Very nice looking. One of the sides a bit high and pressed into my ankle. I added a slight heel lift and voila - very comfortable. A bit stiff and needs to be broken in but a very nice shoe. I recommend.

Great Looking Dress Shoe -
I usually buy Ecco shoes but I saw the Windom and gave it a try. Shoes fit well right out of the box. Very stylish. Can be worn well with suit or slacks. The shoe holds a great shine. Will consider other Rockport shoes.
As usual Zappos delivered just as promised. Ordered shoes in evening and they were on doorstep at 3pm next day. I have used Zappos in the past and will continue.

My husband has a real problem finding shoes that offer enough arch support as well as overall support. These shoes worked out so well he had me order another pair in another color.

 |  | I just want to say that great customer service is rare now a days. Many companies pretend to have customer service but their actions and business practice are far from it. Zappos is a true client oriented company and your actions speak louder than words. You guys are like clean water or fresh air, very basic but extremely needed. Thank you for your TRUE, HONEST, NO NONSENSE, STRAIGHT FORWARD customer support. I had to try it to believe it.
