I did not get quite the right shoe. This works okay, but I found that the name of the shoe I really need is stitched onto the tongue of the shoe and I picked a slightly different one. So, when I am doing long runs, I will need to go to the other type. Zappos sent the shoes overnight and they were perfect. I have ordered from Zappos before and also got just perfect hiking shoes. I have an odd sized foot, 10.5 M, and for specialized shoes (like hiking and running), it is virtually impossible to find shoes even in a large city like Phoenix.

I love Brooks shoes, but this style was just too short in the toe. Brooks are the only woman's running shoe I have found that fit my wide foot and narrow heel without slippage. I am afraid that going a half size larger would mean losing the snugness in the heel. Really liked the light weight of this shoe, but am going back to the Brooks Addiction because of the problem with the toe.

This was my first time purchasing a Brooks shoe, so I was unaware that they run small. Brooks was recommended to me because I walk 5 miles daily and was experiencing excruciating heel pain. This brand of shoe has helped provide the support needed to reduce the pain.

I love Brooks. I love Zappos. I did not love this shoe. It is very snug, especially in the toe bed. This would have been my fourth pair of Brooks, I'm hooked. But this shoe just did not fit right. Still love Zappos.

Fourth pair of this model Brooks running shoe -
After years of struggling to find the perfect running shoe to match my gait, finally Brooks came out with the Axiom model. Super lightweight and very flexible, this is the only model that doesn't beat my toes up on long runs. I have a neutral gait, and need a flexible sole that allows my foot to roll from outside heel strike to big toe push-off and this shoe gives it all! Excellent cushioning without too much structure. As with most all running shoes, go up 1/2 size from normal street shoes with this model.

Just a bit short -
I was looking for a light weight running shoe that was great for an over-pronator like me. This shoe would have been perfect if it wasn't just a hair too short in the toe. Even with my nails trimmed it was just a fraction too short. I wear an 8 but feel that a size larger would be too large. I thought it was well-proportioned and comfy though. It is my first Brooks shoe I tried on.
Other brands recommended by reviewer: Try Saucony - very comfy! I also like NB.

I have heel pain in one foot and require arch support and soft heel. The Brooks Axiom is very comfortable.
