These boots loosened up after wearing and are good for wide feet. They are also good at making crummy clothes look fashionable and maybe lightening up a look that is kind of serious. I own the traditional Frye style in gaucho and these are very different look wise, from them. They run a little tighter than my other pair, but are still bigger than cowboy boots.The heel looks a little more old timey than what I'm used to, but it's okay. The color scuffs easily. If you're trying too keep them snappy, don't let them touch, the buckle and the strap ring scuff them. The leather is dyed through enough that they don't look plastic, but it is a semi gloss, more dress than work finish. I am glad I don't have to have only one pair of tall Fryes. Leaning more toward looking like royalty or polo set or knowing royalty or polo set is less imaginable in less dressy boots. Even the people with dough or that have someone pick out their clothes would not be able to find fault with these. I am sorry I didn't get the polish with these,usually I mink oil my boots and that's that. These I might take extra care of. I'm probably going to make a boot box anyway to start. These, Tony Lamas and my other Fryes are making me think boot box. Ow, my brain.

Belted harness boot review -
These are excellent boots. The quality is first rate. They are solid boots. They look awesome with casual pants or jeans. Great smart looking boot. They are extremely comfortable and one could walk a long distance in these boots with ease. The fit is true to size and is accurate. You will be very pleased with these boots!

Look good, but very uncomfortable -
These books look great. However they are extremely uncomfortable. I live in a city and I routinely walk a few miles a day. These boots become unbearable after walking just a few *blocks*. I thought they might get better after some break-in, but several miles of walking did not improve matters much. I have had other boots, like the Timberland Torrence Chelsea, that are nearly as comfortable as walking shoes are. These boots are so uncomfortable that it would even be hard to walk across a shopping mall in them. A big disappointment, especially for the big bucks that they cost.

Very Nice Boot -
A couple of days to break in then, after that they were fine. Very high quality. I returned the 1st pair because they were a 1/2 size too big. I always wear a size 9 and had to get the 8 1/2 to get a proper fit. If you’re looking for a good boot made in the USA, this is it.

One of the most beautiful and well constructed boots -
These are gorgeous boots. Beautiful to look at and tough looking as well. The Belted Harness blows away any standard "harness boot". The history of Frye boots is also a considerable factor. The boots fit great and look awesome. The left heel of this particular pair feels slightly higher than the right for some reason, but this may be just an issue with the inserts. These truly are, in my opinion, the Harness boots of harness boots. They remind me of cavalry boots worn by soldiers that you see in the movies. No wonder they "migrated" over to the motorcycle.

Great boots and great delivery -
I am normally a size 11 in all shoes, but the 10 1/2 boots fit me the best. They are great boots and the delivery on them was fabulous. I highly recommend them.

I had a hard time deciding between the black or brown versions of the Frye Belted Harness boot but knew I couldn't go wrong either way. The boots arrived in a timely manner and were perfect. No matter how many pairs of boots I've bought it's still hard for me to get used to my heel slipping when I first start wearing my new pair. After a few days of wearing the boots inside the house on carpet they started to fit like a glove and they look fantastic. I recommend that you buy a nice horse hair boot brush to keep these boots looking their best. I found a nice one online for $5 plus shipping and it does a great job keeping my boots clean and brushing off small scuffs.
I believe that this is my first time buying from Zappos but it will not be my last.

Awesome boot, even more incredible service -
OK, first of all the boots are great and fit great. What I'm mainly writing about is Zappos awesome service. Last night (this morning) at around 1:30am I placed the order for these boots and shelled out the cake for overnight service. At 2:00am I got an e-mail telling me my order had shipped, and here was my tracking number, yada yada. Since "next day air" with UPS normally means next business day (not including Saturday), I should have got this on Mon 1/26. Instead I was pleased to go down to my building lobby and find that at 3:45pm my package had been delivered. We're talking 14 hours from purchase to wearing my boots. You can't ask for that kind of service and I don't expect it, but this is twice now Zappos has put something in my hands much quicker than any other online vendor...I thank you. If you guys were out in the parking lot taking a cigarette break when my order came in you must have put it out instantly and ran back in because you got it out IMMEDIATELY (see times above). Thanks again!

To me the absolute best looking well made Harness boot...I really like the buckles on the strap. It’s kinda a new spin on a classic style. LOVE these boots!!!!

Been wearing Frye since college (1969)!
Always a perfect fit. Wear like iron. Look even better as they age. Really coming back in style after all these years. Prices are shooting up and selections are very hard to find.

Got some boots!
These are really nice boots! The leather is beautiful and has a nice rubbed look to it. The sole is a bit heavy and feels more solid than flexible. These boots will need to be broken in. But they have a great shape and fit really well. Nice going Frye!

Zappos upgraded my shipping to UPS Next Day; I ordered on Friday evening and had the boots Monday afternoon. The human feet were designed for these boots. Buy them.

The right shoe for the right occasion -
I bought these boots because I've always wanted a pair of Frye boots. I bought them thinking that I would wear them all the time but the reality was a little different. They are a little hard to get used to, especially if you've never worn a full size boot. The heel is a little uncomfortable at first if you're used to Timberlands or sneakers even after you've worn them for a while. Another thing I should mention is that you shouldn't wear them if you plan to do a lot of walking. Last but not least make sure you've got the right kind of jeans to go with them. If you're used to rocking slightly baggy jeans then these aren't the boots for you, they're a lot narrower than they look and the sole is a little thinner than work boots or sneakers. So if you wear these with those kinds of jeans the boots will basically be hidden beneath.

Great everyday boot!
After trying forever to replace my old red brown Frye 8R Cavalry boots and gave in and order a pair of the Belted Harness in Chestnut. One of the best fashion decisions that I made all year! I was worried that the tall boot would be heavy and uncomfortable. However, they are easy to walk in, slide off/on, and broke in within a day! The chestnut color matches with so much. The boot is very versatile; you can dress it up or down. The quality of the leather is top notch and it has the look of a higher end boot( which you should expect for the price).
Bottom line, this is a great boot that is worth the price!

Wow... this boot is amazing! My brother has a pair of Frye boots and I've always loved them so I finally decided to get myself some and they are just great! Looks are great, comfort is tremendous and they fit just like my normal size should!
Not to mention Zappos did a great job with the shipping! Ordered it at 7:35 pm and got them at 1pm the next day! I live in Seattle and these boots came from Kentucky! Just Wow! Awesome Zappos!

Frye Boots Are The Best Shoes You Can Own -
I wore my Frye boots every single day for four winters in a row in Cleveland and Boston...needless to say they took a beating but they lasted for a full four years before I had to admit it was time for a new pair. They are absolutely awesome in aesthetics, comfort, quality and durability. I swear by them; if you are at all considering Frye boots get them! You will not be disappointed!

Excellent quality, service and price. I saw them selling elsewhere for $235.00. They arrived on time in perfect condition. I bought them for my son and he is very pleased. Initially, they seemed a little narrow but just needed to be broken in.

These boots are classic in fit and looks. The only issue with them is one is more difficult to get on than the other. Mine are the same with other boots, so I have to assume it's a manufacturing thing. It has gotten better as the boots have broken in. Overall great Fry boots as expected!!!!

You get what you pay for!
I have tried several different brands of boots and I can say without a doubt that these are the finest boots I have ever worn. They give great support and they just look cool! I have been riding Harley's for years and I will not wear any other boots besides these. Oh and the best part is that they are made in the good old USA.

I love my Frye boots. I think they are a quality tailored boot that is evident in the look and feel of the boot. At first the fit was a little stiff, however each time I've worn them they are more comfortable. GREAT BOOT!!

I love my boots. I purchased them at Zappos even thou they were not the cheapest. I really utilized the friendly website for the pics and the comments. It makes me feel that Zappos is very professional and sincere. I plan on purchasing more Frye boots at Zappos.
