Love these shoes! I wear a 12W, and the first time I wore them they felt a little snug, but after a very short time, they fit perfectly. They look great with jeans and pants, and I wear them to work as well as weekends, even when I know I am going to be on my feet a lot. I walk about 1 1/2 miles a day on my lunch break, and these shoes go the distance comfortably. Cute and comfortable, unbeatable combination!

I am happy with my purchase. The boots are well-made and soft, very comfortable overall. Also, I needed to call customer service at Zappos and was very impressed by how helpful the representative was. I got my order very quickly, too. Overall, I am very happy with both Zappos and my Fitzwell District boots!

According to the description, I assumed my feet wouldn\'t sweat in these boots, but they do. They are uncomfortable and hurt my feet. They do keep my feet dry and warm though, but they are not designed to wear to work. They look good with jeans or slacks. Most boots don\'t hurt my feet, but these do!

Nice looking boot. Ordered a wide and was very disappointed. My foot measures an 8C. I tried on with a thin sock. It did not feel like a wide. Difficult to tell if the length was appropriate as my toes were smushed. I sent it back.

I just purchased my 3rd pair of these shoes in 6 years. They are my favorite winter boots, for just kickin' it. I wear a true 8 1/2, but go up to a 9 for these so the thicker socks will be accommodated. I love these boots.

Very good looking bootie, but I would beware of width which is more narrow than ususal. I did reorder a wide, and it is fine in the sole, but a bit loose at the collar. I will manage!

This boot does NOT give ankle support. It\'s designed to be loose around the base and top of the ankle- won\'t lace snuggly. Color (brown) and toe design are nice.

These shoes are very comfortable. I purchased a 1/2 size smaller than I typically wear and they fit fine. The leather is soft and it\'s a perfect shoe for jeans. I\'ve been wearing this style of shoes for years and have had trouble finding them lately, so I was really glad to find these!

This boot is definitely smaller and narrower than normal sizing. I have bunions and wide feet, and typically wear a size 10W (sometimes WW), but I had to go to an 11W to feel comfortable in this shoe. There is room for my orthotics, but my bunions do still rub a bit; I won\'t be going for long walks in these boots! I do love the style though, and they\'re perfectly fine for wearing to work. They look great with either slacks or jeans.

I searched all over our city and could not find a ladies ankle boot to put my orthotics in. Searched on the web and found these, ordered them. When they arrived, I put my orthotics in them and delivered my paper route. I have never found a more comfortable boot and will be ordering a pair of brown ones in the near future. They also have held up well in rainy weather!

Comfy out of the box -
Although this is a little thinner than a good winter boot, it’s great for spring and fall. Great for walking - but not a hiking boot. It was comfortable right out of the box and I wear it all the time. Excellent with jeans.

I am sooo happy to have found this shoe. The style is sleek and classy. It is difficult to find shoes which are not thick heeled and look like army boots.

Cute boots - slimming -
I really like the look of these boots. They are so slimming on the foot and look lovely with jeans. Unlike some boots, these have a strong panel around the heel so they are easy to slip on. I can't wear them every day because there is so little arch support but they are fun once in a while.

I ordered this boot in a size 8 which is what I always wear. It was way too small! I ended up having to get a size 9.5. Love the boot but the sizing is crazy. The fit is very comfortable and looks great on.

Amazing boot -
This boot is amazing, beautifully designed and made, better looking in person. Liked it so much bought a second pair. It's so hard to find a flat comfortable daily wearing shoe that goes great with jeans. Cute with long skirts also.

Like many people I have one foot larger than the other. Naturally I buy for the larger foot, as I did this time. This boot fits my smaller foot perfectly. These boots have a raised cushion on the foot bed at the heel end, which I find irritating to my sole.

Wow...best boot ever!
Boot came true-to-size, looks amazing; comfortable right out of the box. Love the feel on my foot. Walked the entire mall on the first day, no blisters or discomfort. I highly recommend this boot!

A good, solid shoe -
I've always like Fitzwell shoes and have several pairs. I needed a pair to go with pants, and ones that I can walk in for distances (to, from train) and stand in (at trade shows). These seem to fit the bill quite well. So far, they are comfortable and fit well, and I can wear them with my orthotics. A good, solid choice. Not terribly fond of the fold-down top, but otherwise they are quite nice. For lace-ups, they do not look as orthopedic as others… or as masculine as some.

A couple years ago I tried on a pair of Ulus. I have a high arch and wide feet and if a shoe isn't comfy in the store-I don't buy them. I don't believe in a "breaking in" period! Those old Ulus were terrible-so tight around the arch-well, this review isn't about those-this is about these new and way improved Ulus! For those looking for an Ugg alternative-this boot may be for you if you are looking for more arch support and a studier boot (sole and material) than the classic Uggs. I love Uggs for hanging out at home or being in the office-but I needed a comfortable waterproof outside boot for walking the dog, shoveling snow, and my part time job at a ski resort. These Ulus are more structured than Uggs-they hold up to putting on Yak Trax and are incredibly waterproof-the snow and water just runs off of them. I spent 2 hours snowblowing and shoveling and these were great boots for those tough winter chores. My feet were buried under 1 to 2 feet of snow and they stayed dry and comfy. Not only are they waterproof, they have a breathable interior portion on the top of the foot so your feet don't overheat doing chores. That part on the inside isn't sheep fleece, and that is the only down side. The suede exterior isn't as soft as my other sheepskin boots-because of the waterproof nature of the boots. I don't think I'd try to attach snowshoes just because it would rub the suede. I wear an 8 and they fit just right. The ties seem flimsy but do keep the heel from slipping. If the entire interior were fleece, these would be a 5.

Great Boots!
These boots were exactly what I was looking for. Something I could wear out in the snow and inside without having to change from boots to shoes, once inside. However the tread isn't quite enough for icy or slippery conditions. Extremely comfortable, the support is great and my feet & legs don't get tired from standing or walking.

Fitzwell's District Women's Bootie -
I love the look of these shoes, the lines are very clean. It is not overdone and the toe is a really nice shape, not like a Buster Brown little kids shoe and not too pointy. I also love the small heel, these shoes are very comfortable and I can wear them all day. I put an arch support in mine because I need the extra support and they fit perfectly. They look great with boot-cut jeans or with dressier pants. The heel started to wear down right away, so I wish they would be made with a sturdier heel. I have already bought another pair in another color because I like them so much.

I really like the ankle boot, it is comfortable, attractive and a good style. I am a little bummed though that I could not get in black and when I was able to get my email telling me it was available, it was aready gone. But I like the boot. Still want a black pair.

 |  | Dear Zappos, Okay, help me understand something. I place an on-line order last evening at about 8:00. I screw up how to use my store credit and can’t figure out how to fix it. I resort to calling your toll free number to fix my stupid mistake and expect to be on hold for at least 20 minutes. Wow is all I can say! A real live person answers the phone in two rings after I debated with myself whether or not to press the option for joke of the day. He corrects my problem and even makes the decision to not charge my credit card for the less than $2 difference between my store credit and the amount due for the running shoes I ordered. On top of this, the shoes were sitting on my doorstep tonight after I came home from work. I even wore them for my evening workout. How dare you do this in less than 20 hours after my mistake! You just set the customer service pole vault bar at 37 feet in my book! Terrific, terrific service. Thank you very much! I now consider myself a customer for life. You all will have to work very hard to make me buy a pair of shoes from another company. I’m new to Zappos and you can bet I will be looking to Zappos for other purchases! Many thanks... my next order will be tomorrow evening so I can surprise my wife with a new pair of Berks she wants, but actually needs... it isn’t always good to want things!
