I recently was in the market for a good pair of running shoes. I am heavier than the average runner and I require a shoe that is for lack of better words "rugged" (I am 74 inches tall and 260 lbs) but not a boot. I run in all types of environments i.e. snow, rain, heat, dirt, dust, rough gravel surfaces and very seldom a freshly paved asphalt road. So with all of this said the Vasque Velocity GTX caught my eye. I discovered my first pair of gortex running shoes by accident. I had just finished a PT session in the rain and during the session I was anticipating the soggy foot but it never happened. So I was hooked. Being heavier means that I can easily wear out a pair of shoes in about 3 to 4 months so I needed the cut above. The VST GTX is that.

 |  | I am sure you guys hear it ALL the time about how great you are...however, what's one more compliment!? I DO tell everyone about you. For years now, I have been spreading the word about you to anyone who asks where they can find awesome shoes. I have had some recent BAD experiences with horrible customer service and it is SO refreshing (especially in the year 2008) to have the customer service one deserves – from you guys.
