I was searching for a great pair of boots and tried on about 6 pairs of brown/flat boots. These are not perfect, but they were the best of all the ones I\'ve tried so I\'m keeping them. I have a pair of old Frye boots that I love. Every new pair I\'ve tried on (or purchased and returned) lately hasn\'t lived up to the Frye standards -- either too large, hard to get on or just tight in one spot and giant in another. These boots are like many of the other new Frye boots in that they are a little larger than their true size. I am a true 8 (a little wide) and my heel slips some in these boots. But better than the Cindy slouch which were just flimsy. Overall, a good boot but don\'t think it is the perfect boot.
