Chunky!
This is a very warm and good looking boot. It's very stiff though, though perhaps it'll break in a bit more. It's not the most comfortable boot I've owned, but it's not uncomfortable either. It's just beefy, heavy and built like a tank. The Conquest is made for heavy duty cold weather activities; in that it excels.

I was very satisfied with this boot, They fit perfect,Feel great.Protect your feet from the cold, and wet weather. Would recommend this boot to anyone that spends time outside,at any time when the weather conditions are bad, or just out enjoying the day out in the woods.

Hardly any padding in tongue area -
I'm returning these boots because there is hardly any padding in the tongue area so I can feel the laces against my ankles which is uncomfortable, and since there is no padding I don't see how breaking the boot in would help.
That said, every other aspect of the boots seems very high in quality.

Best boot for the money -
My boyfriend loves these boots... I bought them as a gift for him. He uses them daily for work and/or hunting. Keeps his feet warm and dry, look great and are extremely comfortable. I highly recommend this boot to anyone.

Great Winter Boot -
This boot was recommended to me by a co-worker and I love it. They keep my feet dry and incredibly warm. The only thing I would like to see different in this boot would for it to be 2" taller. If they made a 10" version, it would be perfect. Overall, a great warm boot!

Darn good boot -
I was looking for a comfortable boot to use in the woods while cutting wood and hauling same. These fill the bill. They are not light but that’s all right. I would recommend them.

Great Boots -
I work for the New York City Department of Sanitation and these boots were great! I wore them in the snow, rain, downpours, salt, you name it. They kept my feet dry and warm for a long time. If you're out in the elements for whatever reason, these boots are the way to go.

Sorel Conquest Boot -
These boots are great for the price. They provide excellent warmth and stability. In fact, my feet were still warm even though they got completely soaked after a full day's worth of shoveling snow.

Zappos delivery is 2nd to none -
I only wore them twice -- once to break in and once to shovel. My feet were warm and dry. I agree with others that the clip around the ankle area is useless. It is also irritating as I can feel it on my foot/leg, but after a while I don't notice it. All-in-all I like these boots. Zappos delivery is incredible -- I ordered at 11:50PM new years eve and they were delivered 5pm on Jan 2nd.

Nephew's winter fun -
I bought these for my nephew who wanted a pair of black Sorel boots for Christmas. He enjoys ice fishing, using a snow blower, and other winter activities. He loves them, says that they fit true to size, and are really warm. I kept the Zappos box in case they needed to be returned, but he said "No way!"

Winter in Northern Minnesota -
I really love the free shipping & guarantees. I found the boot to be true to size; but quite stiff for about the first 3-5 days, mainly in the upper parts of the boot. Now some 4 weeks later it fits like a dream. It's very warm and great for Southern Canada where we ice fish!
Suggestion - it's a little hard to slip on because it does NOT have a convenient ring or tab at the upper back of the boot to grip when pulling them on. I'm probably going to modify mine by punching a hole in the small tab and inserting a short rope/steel ring to aid in pulling them on.
All in all, it's a fabulous boot and I would highly recommend it!
Other shoes recommended by reviewer: Sorels are great for outdoors here.

Best winter boot I have owned. Light, warm, waterproof - the best of everything. Perfect boot for hiking, hunting, fishing, any outdoor activity. Highly recommend this boot if you spend time outdoors during the winter.

These were a little hard to get on at first but feel really great on my feet, sz 10M fits very well. The only thing missing is a finger pull on the back of the boots. They just have a small tab and it is very hard to grip to pull the boot on.

You know it...
A quality product from Sorel. This is my first pair of Sorels, but they prompted me to toss out a pair of Columbia boots of similar nature. Fit is great and functionality rises above any competitor. Buy them and forget the rest.

These boots are very comfortable and very lightweight. I haven’t has a chance to wear them much yet, but I can’t wait for snow. I bought them primarily for snowmobiling. I think I will end up wearing them for many other activities. Great boots.

The Perfect Boot -
I use this boot both for winter hunting and for winter military training. If you've ever walked several miles in a foot of snow with heavy boots and a 50 pound pack you will really appreciate the conquest. Its 2.3 oz per boot (size 10.5) Very light weight as insulated waterproof boots go. It’s also very warm and comfortable right out of the box. The inner lining makes them easy to slip on, no pulling and tugging. It has a great lug sole and heel to make it sure footed. I would highly recommend this boot to any cold weather outdoors person recreation, work, military or law enforcement. By the way, the boots arrived in 48 hours. I ordered them on a Saturday at noon and received them on a Monday at noon. I haven't figured out yet how Zappos did that.

I placed my order on Monday and the boots were waiting for me at home the next day! FANTASTIC!
As others had suggested, the Sorel Conquest fit true to size. I wear a 12 and the size seems to allow for a heavy wool sock without pinching. These boots will be marvelous for everything from shoveling to sledding and all other adventures in between!
My heartfelt compliments to the entire crew at Zappos. Some companies trumpet their efficiency in processing & shipping orders, but no one I have encountered has been able to hold a candle to Zappos! Too bad it's spring.
This is a lot of boot for the money. The fit is right on with the right socks. It makes me wish it wasn't spring. I can't wait to go stomp around the mountains next winter.

Great boots - Unmatched Price!
Sorel's Conquest boots are very comfortable and seem to run true to size. The Achilles strap is more for fashion, but the built in gaiter is a great addition. These are well made, quality boots and you can't beat Zappos price protection or their return policy. Your hunt for quality winter boots should end here.

Awesome winter boot!
I bought these for my son after a pair of his boots were stolen from a ski resort. He loves them. They have a great tread on the bottom and are very well-insulated. Also, it's tough to find warm snow boots that have the drawstring on the top so that was a selling point. He also said they are comfortable and not too stiff. Definitely would recommend them.
