GREAT SHOES - I love my shoes! I have a larger foot (size 12). They fit great, look great too. Zappos has the best customer service!

The walking shoes are comfortable for the first few hours, but then become too tight near my bunion. They don't provide much support nor do they provide much of a cushion on hard surfaces. Sorry I didn't spend additional money and buy something better.

Sized about a 1/2 size too small. Front part of cushioned insert slips back when taking them off. Might have to break out the Gorilla glue for that, but otherwise, I love them.

Not just another New Balance shoe - The toe box in this shoe is far more comfortable than almost any other model of NB I've worn in the past 20 years. That may partially be due to the custom orthotics in the shoes, but I suspect that the large mesh area between the tongue and toe box makes for a slightly more flexible fit. Kudos to the Zappos sales person for finding these for me!

I walk and hike about 2,000 miles a year and I've been wearing this boot for four or five years, getting 1000-1200 miles on it. It provides both comfort and support. I under pronate, though, so the outside heel wears down faster than I would like. Can't be beat for walking and day-hiking.

I've been wearing New Balance for years. They are one of the few companies that still make narrow shoes. This is a great, reasonably priced cross trainer that I use for power walking, classes at the gym and the eliptical machine. Order a half size up.

This shoe looks good and addresses my need for a wide shoe, but they made a strange redesign in the tongue configuration that is a poor decision. Rather than the tongue opening straight out like is conventional this one only opens on one side. This causes the rigid tongue to rest to one side when wearing the shoe (the outside of my foot) and it really pushes on the leg three inches above the ankle. Poor design that really wasn't needed for a company that is just entering the boot arena. Their specialty is wide comfortable footwear and they shouldn't be reinventing the wheel with the tongue redesign.

Great shoes. I bought them for a trip to Disneyworld, knowing my flat feet would kill me. I put in an orthotic from Sports Authority for flat feet and it made these shoes amazing. Best shoes for flat footed heavier women.

I'm very pleased with my new New Balance walkers. I walk 2 to 3 miles a day for exercise. I thought I would probably have to wear my new shoes around the house for a few days to break them in. They felt good enough to walk in the first time I wore them. I always have to buy New Balance because I need the wide width. These fit perfectly.

What can I say? They are New Balance shoes...the best gym shoes I've ever had. They are comfortable right out of the box and they run true to size. This is the 4th pair of New Balance shoes that I've bought.

These shoes are the best shoes I have bought in a long time. They have no break in period. You just put your feet in and go. And they are really comfortable, I will be buying another pair.

Wonderfully comfortable shoes from the first moment I put them on. I wore them locally a few times to make sure there were no spots the shoes would cause rubs or blisters and they were perfect. I then took them on a 2 week trip to Europe and they were great. City and cobblestone walking were handled well and these shoes also could handle hills and moderate hiking in the countryside. Loved them.

My fiance loves these sneakers. I gave them to him for his birthday. They are classic looking, but not "old manish". He is a PGA Pro and a golf instructor on his feet ALL day in the hot sun. His back had started to bother him. These "shoes" provide him with support and comfort. And once I ordered them through Zappos, it wasn't even 2 days before I received them and FREE shipping was awesome. Thank you.

I bought these shoes for my husband--he had a pair of the previous year's style and if he could, he would have bought enough pairs of those to last him the rest of his life. He wore those shoes down to holey soles before he'd agree to try these. He wasn't sure he'd like this style--they are different, after all--but graciously (!) allowed me to order them for him to try. Well, he LOVES them. He's complained about other shoes squeezing his toes, but these are roomy enough and supportive enough to satisfy him completely. There was no break-in time; there are no pressure spots, no flaws in the materials or stitching. The suede part stands up well to wear and doesn't need special care; the fabric parts are also durable and wear well. The lacing works just fine, the tongue is well-padded and comfortable for him. Of course, I had to pull all of this out of him--if he were writing this, he'd just tell you the shoes are "perfectly fine".

I can’t live without running and good shoes are extremely important. New Balance changed their 768 model to 769, the change was enough to cause blisters on my toes when I ran. I was disappointed and struggled finding another to fit my wide feet. The 850 model has been my life saver. I loved them from the start. Comfortable, provides good support and stability, and best of all… no blisters.

I am thoroughly satisfied with my WW811 white slip-ons. They are very comfortable and run true to size, so fit well. And they are so easy to slip on and off. I only wish they also came in natural, navy and black.

I've been a fan of New Balance athletic footwear for more years than I care to admit and this shoe continues the very favorable experience I have enjoyed with all of their x-trainers. Fit (both length and width) is exceptional. Balance is excellent. Flexibility and stability are also excellent. Insole liner seems to fit more comfortably that prior shoes. All in all, I heartily recommend this shoe.

I bought these shoes after reading a very few limited reviews on the New Balance website (these are fairly new to the market and limited input). I previously had been a die hard Asics Gel Evolution 2 and 3 user, but their new 4 didn't fit like the old models did. The Brooks Beast feels like I am running in boat anchors (very heavy) so I gave these a try. Instantly I was impressed with the lightness of the shoes compared to other cushioning and motion control shoes. I am a severe over pronator and have had problems with shin splints for years and just endured through them and the pain. I just got back into running after a 5 year hiatus and had gained some weight. I was 235 and 6ft when I started and the shin splints came back instantly with my old worn out Asics. I gave New Balance a call seeking help on finding a new shoe and they were very helpful. This shoe is perfect for heavier runners that over pronate. The fit of the shoe is typical New Balance, so it runs about half a size small. The toe box area is a bit roomy with the heel being roomy as well. The padding in the heel is ample and forces you to run on the ball of your foot. This is the natural way to run (search for a popular science article on running and stride). The arch support is great and helps to prevent the runner from rolling their foot (over pronating). The only thing I wish they would add on the next model is more padding in the toe area. After 3 or so miles my toes start to go numb (didn't happen in the Beast or Gel Evolutions), but I have started to grow out of that issue as my feet get used to the shoe. The shin splints have actually started to go away and I am actually enjoying running again. I have put a little over 200 miles on mine in a short time and can see myself putting more miles in them every week. This shoe is a must for those sever over pronators over 200lbs with shin splints and wanting to get back into running.

I purchased these shoes at the recommendation of my podiatrist, as I have both a history of plantar fasciitis and a 20-year-old injury to my big toe that restricts the toe from flexing. I immediately began feeling a difference in my walk once I started using these shoes. The upward curve at the front is subtle, but it takes a lot of pressure off of my big toe and allows me a more normal gait. My plantar fasciitis has also been very calm ever since I’ve worn these shoes, and now (two months later purchasing these shoes), my arches no longer ache in the morning when I first get up. A month after purchasing these shoes, I left home for a week to volunteer on a 7-day fundraising event where I was on my feet all day and very active. In the previous 6 times I have volunteered for this event, I have come back with large and painful blisters on my feet, but with these shoes, even though they weren’t even "broken in" yet, I was comfortable all week, and had only a small blister on one toe at the end of the week. Truly remarkable! Finally, I would like to make a positive plug for Zappos. The shoes were delivered amazingly fast. The first pair was too narrow for me, so I had to return them. This was my first purchase with Zappos, so I didn’t know how well their return policy would work. I had absolutely no problem returning the first pair of shoes and received the second pair in short order, which fit beautifully. Hats off to Zappos - one of the easiest online customer experiences I have ever had! Okay, one last thing... I do wish that these shoes came in more colors. The standard white is okay, but it’s really tough to keep clean. I hope that the manufacturer provides more varieties of colors and styles in the future.

Runs small, not comfortable - The shoe runs a half size small and width at EE wasn't wide enough. I usually do fine with EE, but not these. Very stiff in the back & sides.

I wear orthotics and have a hard time finding shoes in extra wide widths to accommodate the inserts. I have purchased other New Balance shoes in the wider widths and they have all worked great. These shoes have a lot of padding and are extremely comfortable and worked out even better than the others. I would highly recommend these to anyone whether you have problem feet or not. Thanks Zappos for offering a wide variety of wider width shoes.

I have a wide food with a high instep - a curse! These shoes are a perfect fit for me - plenty of room in the toebox and there's no slipping around the ankle. They offer great support and are super cushion-y.
